General Introduction of SS-10 wet blast machine
1.1 Application
Driven by media pump and compressed air, this machine is a new type of equipment specially designed for wet blast process utilized in finish.
The machine can clear castings and forgings, weldments, heat-treated parts, punched and machined workpieces and can knock off the rough surface, oxide crust, remaining salt, burs, and etc. It can be applied to do pre-treatment for coating and plating, high precision and high smoothness finish process on complicated-shaped components that other methods cannot accomplish. It’s also very good at renovating used machined parts.
1.2 Features
- Dust pollution is effectively under control during process.
- No need of any extra ventilator and dust remover, this machine can be directly installed on a product line so as to save working area and facilitate parts flowing.
- With the variety of flexible operating methods and technological parameters, this machine is fit for requirements of finish processing for parts made of different materials or in various precisions.
- The blasting process can improve machined parts surface quality and reinforce parts skin so as to increase wear-resistance and fatigue strength.
- Media consumption is limited.

- Operator works in a low labor intensity with a high production efficiency.
1.3 Buildup
The machine composed by main unit, outer guide track, media collector and separator as shown in SS-10 Wet Blast Machine View, can be used in basic operation of the wet blast process and accessorial operations later.
1.4 Major technical data
1.4.1 Electrical system
Media pump motor: Power capacity is 9/11KW. Rotating speed, 1440/2900 rpm. Three phase, 380V,50Hz.
Separator motor: Power capacity is 0.4KW. Rotating speed, 2900 rpm. Three phase, 380V,50Hz.
Turntable driving speed-regulating motor: Power capacity is 0.75KW. Rotating speed, 120~1200 rpm. Three phase, 380V, 50Hz.
Lighting equipments: Fluorescent lamps, 3×20W, A. C. 220V, 50Hz.
Total power consumption: About 12.5KW.
Electrical supply: Three phase 380V、50Hz industrial power.
A steel conduit should be buried in advance to guide power line to bottom of the main unit.
1.4.2 Compressed air
Pressure: 0.5-0.7Mpa
Air supply: Depending on customers need, use a hard pipe to connect with the air line in main unit via a steel pipe buried in advance or connect an air hose (bore Φ25mm, working pressure 0.8Mpa) to the main unit. Air line of the machine is G1″.
Air consumption of single gun: About 1.5m3/min
Total consumption: About 7.5 m3/min。
1.4.3 Cylinder
One set of cylinder combination with valve and switch
Diameter 80mm. Travel 250mm
1.4.4 Process guns
4 PQ-1 blast gun (oscillating),4 PQ-6 blast gun (hand-operated). Nozzle diameter is 12.5mm.
1.4.5 Storage sump capacity of the main unit is about 250L.
1.4.6 Abrasive media
Alumina in different grade size between 46#~120# or glass bead smaller than 0.3mm.
Charge ratio is 1:5 ~1:7 (dry abrasive: water) proportioned by weight.
1.4.7 Water supply
Industrial tap water. Depending on customers need, use a hard pipe to connect the industrial tap water supply with the water line in main unit via a steel pipe buried in advance or connect an water delivery hose (bore Φ13mm, working) to the main unit. Water line of the machine is 1/2″.
Consumption of tap water is not more than 0.3 m3 per shift.
